Last day of 2012

Hello! It's the last day of the year. Was it just me or did December (well, the whole year actually) just flew by? I can't believe we've already come to the end of 2012. I hope 2012 was a good year for you, but I wish you that 2013 would be even better. :)

Before we completely say "bye bye" to this year I would like to show you one last card that I made.

I used the adorable Flutter Anya from TGF as my main image. I colored her with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. On her wings I added some glitter glue. The brown paper I used for the background is a piece of a wrapping paper and I embossed it with flower embossing folder. As for the DP, I just used some left-over scraps from my stash. The scalopped oval is a Spellbinders die. It was cut from a white cardstoch which I embossed with swiss dots embossing folder and inked with TH antique linen distress ink. The pearls and ribbons are from my stash.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenge:
Yumi and Fumi handmade: Sketch and colour challenge
The pink elephant: Anything goes
Cute card Thursday: Anything goes
Crafty mess: Show some sparkle/bling
Creative moments bloggers network: Embossing/anything oes

Crafty ribbons challenge - midway reminder

Good morning! Are you enjoying this holiday season? I have to admit that I haven't been doing much, just relaxing and taking it easy. However, today I made an apple strudel. Yummy! I like its taste and it's very easy and quick to make.

I know this is a busy season for most of you, but if you manage to find some time for crafting, we would love to see you play with us at Crafty ribbons challenge. The theme is "blue and green" and you can make whatever you want - a card, a bookmark, a tag ... Use your imagination. :)

I found this to be a real challenge for me, as this is not the colour combination I would normally be using on my cards. At the end I made this card for my friend that just had a baby boy ...

For my card I used different blue papers from Provo Craft. The image is from Crafty Individuals. Around the edges of the image and on baby's wings I added Rayher glitter glue. Doily is from my stash and the ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. The flowers are made with TH Tattered florals dies and with my craft punch. Over the flowers I stamped with Faded text background stamp from Stampabilities. In the center of each flower I made a pearl with Viva decor pastel green pearl pen.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Mojo Monday: Sketch
Here come the boys: Anything goes
Crafty sentiments: Glitter

Have a great day!
Hugs! xx

Christmas advent event - day 23

Good morning! Are you done with all the preparations for the big day yet? I might bake something today, but otherwise I'm done. Oh, and tomorrow me and my boyfriend are going to my parents' for dinner and I am planning to make these cute Santas from strawberries (I don not own this picture, I got it online).

I came accross this image on Facebook earlier this month and I loved the idea so I was determined to find some strawberries somewhere and make these myself too. :) I hope mine will turn out as nicely as these!

Our Christmas advent event is slowly coming to the end, so if you are super duper late and have only found out about it now, hop over the CRPI blog to see how you can win some wonderful prizes from our sponsors. Our sponsor today is The paper shelter and they are giving the lucky winner a $20 gift certificate for their store.

The DT was lucky enough to play with their images and here's the card I made ...

Isn't this Santa's little helper just adorable? I love this image! :) I colored it with Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers. On the white parts of Santa's cap I used liquid appliqueAround the image I stamped with different snowflake stamps and I also added some glitters. The blue papers are from Provo Craft and the silver paper is just a left over piece that I've had in my stash. I made poinsettia with Marianne design dies. In the center of the poinsettia I added a crystal from my stash. Doily and small star confetti are from my stash as well. I used 2 different ribbons - they are both from Crafty ribbons. The string of silver crystals on the top of my card is cut from a crystal mesh that I got in a store for just 1 €. Good bargain, don't you think so? I hope you like my card. :)

Christmas advent event - day 21

Good morning! For the first time in a couple of days I slept like a baby for the whole night. I even slept longer than usually. My holidays have already started so it was a good feeling that I could stay in bed til 9 am without feeling guilty. :) And when I woke up I noticed it was snowing. Looks like we still have a chance for the white Christmas after all. Woohoo! :D

Seems like everybody is talking about the end of the world today, but I won't. I will rather tell you who we have as sponsor today as Christmas advent event on CRPI blog ... Today the giftie comes from the sweet Krista, the owner of Saturated Canary. I'm sure you know her gorgeous images. And if you leave your info with Mr. Linky, you could win 5 of them. :)

I made this card with one of her gorgeous images.

As soon as I saw this image I knew I had to get it because it is perfect for a card for a very special friend of mine. This image reminds me of her for some reason. She's a total sweetheart and she loves making people happy. She also likes angels. So I couldn't find any image that would be better for her. I just hope my card will get to her place in time for Christmas.

I colored this cutie with Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers and I added Rayher glitter glue on her wings and baubles. I stamped with several snowflakes stamps around the image. The papers are from Folia and My mind's eye. The big snowflake is Marianne design die and the small snowflakes are made with my craft punch. I alsi used Spellbinders fancy tags dies. Doily lace and crystals are from my stash and the ribbon is from Crafty ribbons.

Christmas advent event - day 16

Good morning! I had such a great day yesterday! In the morning I went to a big(ger) city with my boyfriend and a couple of friends to do some Christmas shopping and in the afternoon, when we got back, my bf and I put our Christmas tree up. We even bought some new (more traditional looking) tree decorations and I like them a lot. We also found some star shaped lights that we put on the wall above the nativity scene we created. If I remember, I will take some pictures to show them to you. :)

For now, I can show you the picture of a Christmas wreath that my sweetie made for us to keep on the kitchen table ...

Isn't it pretty? I know it's not shiny, full of decorations etc., but he/we wanted it to be natural and more "simple".

I made a wreath too, but mine is a little bit more untraditional. I wanted to make something a bit different for Christmas advent event that we have going on CRPI blog so I decided to make a wreath - this is the first wreath I've ever made if I may add. lol  Before I show you my wreath I want to remind you that you can still leave your info with Mr. Linky on ALL blog posts for the Christmas advent event if you want a chance to win some goodies from our sponsors. Today you can win 5 digi images from Teddy Bo. :)

And now really to my wreath. Here's the picture of it ...

I used some old newspaper to make a base for my wreath and then secured it with sticky tape. Then I wrapped around this gorgeous satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons. On the right side I added some flowers that I made from buttons, gold mesh and fabric and some pine branch and leaves die cuts that are made from white cardstock. On the other side I used this fab bead string, which is also from Crafty ribbons.

I would like to enter my wreath to the following challenges:
Live and love crafts: Anything but a card
Dl Art: Linky party - Anything goes
Sweet stampin' Christmas: Anything goes

Christmas advent event - day 15

Good morning! Only 10 more days til Christmas. I can't wait! I'm putting my tree up later today and I'm really looking forward to it. I hope to do some baking over the weekend too. I have some yummy (and easy lol) cookie recipes that I want to try. I've already tried one recipe the other day and those cookies were delicious - needless to say they are already gone. ;) Will probably make more of these as well, because everybody liked them.

Speaking about delicious things ... This post will be full of them. ;) Let's start with Delicious doodles, who is today's sponsor of our Christmas advent event on CRPI blog. If you leave your infor with the linky, you can win a £10 voucher to spend in their store.

And the project I want to show you is delicious too. Well, sort of. I will show you how you can make a quick and easy Christmas "package" for cookies.

See, I told you it was quick and easy. ;) I saw this idea in one shocolate and ookies store in one of the shopping malls here and I liked it so I decided to pack my cookies in glass jars this year too. :) To cover the jar I just used a piece of fabric that I've had for some time and then wrapped around some mini ric rac ribbon from Crafty ribbons. On the jar I glued 3 pieces of paper which I cut with Spellbinders' dies and then embossed with Cuttlebug swiss dots EF. Because of the flash you can barely see the sentiment, but it says "vesele praznike" (slovenian for "happy holidays").

I hope you like this idea. Have a great day! Hugs! xx

Christmas advent event - day 13

Good morning! I hope you are having a nice week so far. I can't complain. :) Can you believe it's less than two weeks til Christmas? Did you write a letter to Santa yet? ;) If you did, I hope he will bring you what you asked for.

But if you didn't, you still have a chance to win something nice from our sponsors at CRPI blog. Our today's sponsor is Trimgym's digi stamps and you could win 3 of their digi stamps and digi papers

Also, before I show you the card I made for today, I want to remind you that you have one more week to participate in our challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. Our current challenge was set by Tessa and Anke and they would like to see a tag somewhere on your card; it doesn't matter how big or small it is.

This was a tough one for me, because I normally don't add tags on my cards. But after playing with paper for a while, this is what I came up with ...

I went for a bit vintage look. What do you think? Do you like it? I love this image from Krista and I couldn't wait to use it on one of my cards. :) I colored it with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. On the wings and baubles I added some glitter glue. Around the imae I stamped with Stampabilities snowflake stamp. The papers are from Prima and My mind's eye. The doily and crystals are from my stash and the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons - the gorgeous rose ribbon can be found here and the white ribbon I used on my tag can be found here.

Com join the fun at CRPI blog and also don't forget to link your cards/project to our current challenge. :)

Hugs! xx

Christmas advent event - day 12

Did you notice the date today; 12. 12. '12. I was listening to the radio in the morning and they said that today is a lucky day. I hope they are right! :) The next date, where the numbers of day, month and year will match won't be for another 89 years.

So, on this lucky and interesting day we are bringing you some more goodies and lots of more inspiration on the CRPI blog. :) Our sponsor today is Kenny K and the lucky winner will get 5 of his great digi stamps (winner's choice).

I want to show you another Christmas card that I made. I'm sorry because of the bad picture, but it was dark when I was taking pictures. I even tried to scan the card, but it wasn't much better. *sigh*

I used this cute image from Wild rose studio and colored it with Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers. On the white part of the cap I also added some Rayher glitter glue. The papers came from different brands - Prima, Scrapwork ... The wooden snowflakes are from my stash. In the middle of each snowflake I added a red star shaped gem. The gorgeous red lace is from Crafty ribbons.

Then hop over to CRPI blog and see what we have for you on the 10th day of our Christmas advent event. :) You won't be sorry, I promise, because my teamies made fab project to inspire you and also today's prize is a very yummy one - you could win a £10 voucher for LOTV store.

I was going to show you the candles I made with LOTV angel image today, but I mixed something up and you could already see one of them on day 7, so today I will show you another card, but this one won't have a LOTV image.

This image is from Recollections and I embossed it with Queen's gold embossing powder from Ranger. I used the freebie Christmas papers that came with one crafting magazine a couple of years ago. The white piece of cardstock was embossed with Cuttlebug swiss dots EF and then I inked the raised dots with my ink pad. The snowflakes were made with my craft punch. In the middle of each snowflake I made a pearl with Viva decor pearl pen. Doily lace, pearl on the bow and gold confetti are from my stash. I also used the seam binding ribbon from Crafty ribbons.

Happy Monday! Just 2 more weeks til Christmas eve. I am already soooo excited! Have you bought all the presents yet? I have some, but not all yet. I'm going to do some (almost) last minute shopping on Saturday. The good thing is that I already made a list of all the things I need to buy - this is a progress from last year. lol I think I will put the Christmas tree up over the weekend too. :)

We are continuing with our Christmas advent event at CRPI blog and our today's sponsor, Mulberry crafts UK, is giving the lucky winner this fabby prize ...

So now let's go to the card I made for today ...

Isn't this teddy a sweetie! It's a WOJ image. :) I colored him with Faber Castell pencils and then for the snow and the snowflakes I used Rayher glitter glue. I also used Liquid applique on teddy's cap and gloves . I cut the image with Spellbinders' circle dies and then I created border using snowflakes that I made with my craft punch. I like the look of it. Why haven't I thought of this before?! Doh! The DP is from Folia. I made the bigger snowflakes with Marianne design dies. In the middle of each snowflake I glued a pearl from my stash. I used the red ric rac ribbon and the tan satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons.

Christmas advent event - day 9

Good morning! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I'm having a nice and relaxing time.

On day 9 of our Christmas advent event on CRPI blog our sponsor is Make it crafty and they also have a wonderful prize for one lucky winner - you can win a $25 voucher for Make it crafty store.

I decided to make a vintage Christmas card to show you today.

I love this Santa image by Reollections. It's hard to see in the picture, but I added some diamond Stickles on the "ho ho ho" part of the image and also around the edges. This whole card is mainly made out of recycled papers. For the background I used one one my old music sheets and inked it a bit with Memento and TH inks and the brown paper is actually from an envelope. Snowflakes are Marianne design dies and were originally white, but I inked them a bit with Memento ink pad. Later I embossed them with Cuttlebug swiss dots EF. The white piece of cardstock was also embossed with this EF. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Mojo Monday: Sketch
Izazovi i slatkiši: Nova godina/Božič

Christmas advent event - day 8

Good morning! Wow, how much snow we got over the night!! It's really beautiful outside, everywhere you look you see just whitness. I hope it'll be like this for Christmas too.

Today we are opening another window of our Christmas advent event at CRPI blog. Are you curious which sponsor ishiding under this window? It's Ooh La La creations and the prize they are offering to the lucky winner is a CD of winner's choice.

I made something different this time. The other day I was looking at some Christmas pictures on Pinterest and I came around one Christmas ornament which I loved so I decided to try and make something similar. Here is the result ...

It didn't turn out as great as the one I saw in Pinterest, but I still kind of like it. But I will make sure that the next time I will use even more flowers on such project (glue flowers more together). It's a very simply project otherwise. You just need a styrofoam ball, flower punch and some ribbon. I used a wonderful blue gingham ribbon from Crafty ribbons. In the middle of the flowers I used Viva decor pearl pen.

I would like to enter my Christmas ornament to the following challenges:
Sweet stampin': Dies and/or punches
Hiding in my craft room: Blue and white
Crafts and me: Anything goes (+ option to make a Christmas ornament)
Totally stampalicious: Anything but a card

Christmas advent event - day 7

Good morning! Brrrr ... It's really cold here today. And it's supposed to get even colder over the weekend. I don't think I'll do anything except staying inside under the blanket with a cup of tea or cocoa. And of course do some crafting. ;)

It's day 7 of our Christmas advent event at CRPI blog and our today's sponsor is Marianne design and there's the wonderful prize you canwin if you leave your info with the linky ...

I made this box ...

It's made out of white cardstock. I inked the edges with TH distress ink. On top and bottom I added some red cardstock which I punched with my border punch. Over it I glued this lovely ric rac ribbon from Crafty ribbons. I used my craft punch for the small snowflakes which I then glued on the sides and back of the box. I decorated the front with Spellbinders scalopped circle and circle dies and Marianne designs snowflake die. I embossed the circle with Cuttlebug swiss dots EF and I decorated the scalopped circle with crystals from my stash.

I'd like to enter this box to the following challenges:
Oozak: Anything goes + red
Simon says: Snowflakes
The ribbon girl: Christmas
Die cuttin' divas: Holiday spirit
Freshly brewed: Christmas

Are you wondering what will I put inside this box? I decorated some candles to give out as Christmas presents. If you haven't trythis yet, go for it, it's super easy to do. This is the candle I made for my grandma ...

On the front you can see the cute angel image from LOTV and under it I wrote the name of my grandma (Minka) with G studio stamps. I colored the image with Faber Castell pencils. You can't see this in the picture, but I covered angel's wings with diamond Stickles and on the wreath I added pearls with Viva decor pearl pen. On the back of the candle I added the sentiment "Vesele praznike!"(this is slovenian for "happy holidays").

I would like to enter my candle to the following challenges:

Anything but a card: Anything Christmas but a card
Bizzy Becs: Christmas
Deep ocean: So this is Christmas
Fussy and fancy: I love Christmas
Shopping our stash: Winter holiday or snow/winter theme
Whimsy: Anything goes so long as it's festive

Christmas advent event - day 6 (+ my candy winner)

Good morning! One of the three good men (yes, we have 3, Santa and 2 others; not bad, right? :P - not everybody does all 3 though) was already visiting kids during the night and left presents to those that were good. I looked everywhere, but I didn't find anything for me (not that I'm a kid, but doesn't matter). I was confused, because I was a really good girl this year. Really, I was, I swear. So I was thinking and thinking why I was left out and then I remembered I didn't write Saint Nicholas any letter. Oooops ... I will make sure this doesn't happen with Santa. ;)

Do you only celebrate Santa where you live or you also have any other good men that are giving gifts to the kids?

December 6 is not only Saint Nicholas day, but it's also the 6th day of our Christmas advent event at Crafty ribbons pure inspiration blog. So if you didn't get any gifties from Saint Nicholas, don't be sad. We are giving you a chance to win a yummy prize from our today's sponsor - A day for daisies. They are offering a $12 voucher to spend in their store to the lucky winner. Just leave your info with Mr. Linky at CRPI blog to be in the draw for the prize. :)

I made a card using one of the beautiful images from the ADFD. Here it is ...

Isn't this image beautiful? I love it! I colored it with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I made the pearls with Viva decor pearl pen. Around the image I stamped with Viva decor stamps. I know it's not possible to see this on the picure (sorry, I forgot to take a side picture), but the image is actually raised on the pop dots. All the design papers I used are from Provo Crafts. The flower is made with Marianne designs die cuts which I got from my friend. The butterfly is Spellbinders die and so is that "doily" (or whatever you want to call it) that you can see on the right side behind the image. Over the butterfly I stamped with Stampabilities Fading text background stamp. The ribbons I used are from Crafty ribbons. You canfind the brown one (under the blue dotty one) here and the blue dotty one is here.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:
Sketch and stash: (great) Sketch
Penny's paper-crafty challenge blog: Anything goes
Stampavie and more: Anything but square

Christmas advent event - day 5

Good morning! When I woke up today all I see was snow. It was snowing the whole day yesterday and it looks like also during the night. It's really nice to see all the white trees etc. We're supposed to get even more snow over the weekend. Fun, fun, fun! :) I hope we'll have snow for Christmas as well.

Speaking about Christmas ... In case youdidn't know, we are having a Christmas advent event at Crafty ribbons pure inspiration blog; it's already the 5th day today. Each day we have adifferent sponsor who is offering a wonderful prize to the lucky winner. And today our sponsor is Sassy Cheryl's digis.

Imade a project for today. I love post-it papers, because I am so forgetful that Ineed to write everything down, otherwise I'm sure I will forget it. I don't have a board to pin pieces of paper on, so the wall above my table is usually covered with all those yellow pots-it papers (which are otherwise kept somewhere in the top drawer of my table). So, today I decided to do something about it and I created this board (or whatever you want to call it).

I did a lot of recycling on this project. First I used the cardstock that was a part of my paper cutter's box and wrapped it in this orange paper, which is also recycled (I recently received a rose and it was wrapped in this paper and sice I liked it, I saved it :)). Then I did some stamping over the paper with Viva decor Floral embellishment stamps and with Faded text background stamp from Stampabilities. Using the Spellbinders' die, I cut the border, which I glued to the bottom of my "board". I made the flowers myself. The brown flowers were made with gorgeous satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons and for the big flower I also used a piece of long forgotten fabric, that I once found in my mum's closet and a piece ofgold mesh, which also came as a decorative piece of one gift quite some time ago. In the center of my flowers I glued pale yellow store-bought roses. I was given the swirl die cuts by my friend. They were originally white, but I inked them just a little bit with brown ink pad and stamped over them with Stampabilities faded text background stamp. On the left side you can see my post-it papers. Now I just need to hang this onthe wall above my table. :)

I hope you like my today's project and that you'll also hop to CRPI blog to see what my teamies made. :)

I wish you all a wonderful day. Hugs! xx

Christmas advent event - day 4

It's day 4 of our Christmas advent event at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. My teamies again shared lots of great ideas on the blog, so why don't you hop over there and have a look? And while you are there why don't you leave your info with Mr. Linky for the chance to win 3 digi sets from The cutting cafe, which is our today's sponsor?

I made a snowman card for today. It's a pretty simple one, but I like this image and I wanted this cute snowman to be in the center of attention. :)

The image is from Heather Ellis. I colored it with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils and on the left side of the snowman I also added some diamond Stickles. The papers are from my stash - I just used some leftover pieces. Gems and doily are from my stash as well. I used my craft punch for the smallsnowflakes and the Marianne design die for the big snowflake. I embossed the snowflakes with Cuttlebug swiss dots EF and then inked the raised dots with red ink pad. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and you can find it here.

Have a great day and see your again tomorrow. :)
Hugs! xx

Christmas advent event - day 3

Good morning! Iwoke up in a white morning today. It's been snowing the whole day yesterday, but it was a wet snow, so it didn't stick to the ground. But it looks like it was snowing at night too, because now the roofs and grass are green. There isn't a whole lot of snow, but even a little bit helps you get in the "December mood". Don't you think so?

It's the third dayof our Christmas advent event at CRPI blog and one again we have a wonderful sponsor. Our today's sponsor is Quixotic paperie and they are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their store. They have lots of yummy things in their store so it's definitely worth checking out. :)

I made a vintage Christmas card for this day.

I just used scraps of papers from my stash. The light blue paper on the left side (under the ribbon) is embossed with TH snowflakes embossing folder. The image is from Recollections. Again I used one of my favourite satin ribbons from Crafty ribbons (you can find it here). The "doily" behind the main image is a die cut that I got from a friend of mine. I stamped over it with several different snowflake stamps. The Christmas trees are Sizzix dies and the big snowflake is Marianne designs die.I embossed the Christmas trees and the snowflake with Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder and then inked the raised dots with my inkpad. The smallsnowflakes are made with my craft punch.

I would like to enter mycard to the following challenges:
Cute card Thursday: Snowflakes
Sweet stampin' challenge: Ribbons and snowflakes
Hooked on craft: Christmas
Scrap & more: Christmas
Christmas cards all year 'round: Card with Santa

So much from me today. I wish you a wonderful week! Hugs! xx

Christmas advent event - day 2

Brrrr, it's freezing outside. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere and can just stay inside, where it's nice and warm. It's been snowing here the whole day, but the snow melts as soon as it reaches the ground. But the hill above our house is already white. So I guess it won't be long til we get some "real" snow too.

Today is the second day of our Christmas advent event on CRPI blog. If you hop over to CRPI blog you'll see lots of fabby things my teamies made and while you are there don't forget to also leave your ionfor with Mr. Linky for the chance to win a wonderful prize from our today's sponsor. Curious who this is? Ok, I'll tell you (but make sure you tell Santa I am a nice girl if he asks you, ok? ;)) Our today's sponsor is Joanna Sheen and she's giving this yummy prize to the lucky winner ...

I made a card for today. It's a simple one, but I hope you like it anyway.

I used this lovely star paper from Folia. And the other papers are just sparkly brown and gold/champagne cardstocks. I ambossed the piece of of cardsctock under the ribbon with Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. The poinsettia is Marianne design die. The gem is from my stash and the ribbon is from Crafty ribbons.

Christmas advent event - day 1

Hello! Wow, it's December already. Before you know it it'll be Christmas. Have you bought the presents yet? I have some, but not many. I am planning on making some myself and I hope I will manage to do it.

Today is the fidst day of our Christmas advent event. If you don't know what I'm talking about, hop over to CRPI blog; there you will find all the info. There you can see lots of fabby projects from my teamies and each day we will also have a different sponsor who will offer a wonderful prize for the lucky winner. Yes, that's right, there are over 20 prizes to be won. Wow, right? I hope you'll come and join the fun. :)

The sponsor of the first day is no other than Crafty ribbons and they are offering the lucky winner this fantastic prize ...

Just imagine all the gorgeous ribbons you could buy with that. ;)

For the first day I created something I've been wanting to try for a while ... Earrings made of pearls and ribbon. I'm quite happy with how they turned out and I'm planning to make a necklace too. I've seen one I really liked on etsy and I want to give it a try one day.

But as I said, today I will show you the earrings I made ...

They are super easy and super fast to make. I used some white beads from my stash and this fabby ribbon from Crafty ribbons. I've been using this ribbon A LOT lately. I absolutely love the colour.
